Installing Tranny Guage???
Installing Tranny Guage???
How do I install the tranny guage sensor??? I noticed on the back of the guage, there are three screw downs marked +, -, and S. Which one do I hook the wire from the sensor to???
BTW 98 Auto (47RE I believe, but might be 47RH ???)
Thanks,
Sam

Re:Installing Tranny Guage???
BTW, it's common to have a threaded hole in an aftermarket trans pan to put the sender in (the way I currently have mine). That will only give you the oil temp after the cooler.
Many (including myself) consider it more useful to have the sender in the line going to the cooler/heat exchanger to get a better idea of the actual temp coming off the bands and clutches. This requires a little more plumbing (either a compression tee as described in a past thread, or a line with the fitting already there, i.e.- earlier model or aftermarket).
