What would it take to install a p pump on an 02? Has anyone done it? What would it cost?

go over to the tennessee dtr forum and look under the last page of our discussion thread, a few posts down you'll see deereguy07. I talked to him a few weeks back and he said they were doing just that on an 02 for a guy. They went the cheap way, which does not involve paying a shop to do it. Seems like I have heard $5-$10k on a conversion, or read it here. I know he was'nt gonna be paying $5k though. Look him up over there, great guy and just let him know I put you onto him

You can also by kits that include everything but the actual p-pump. You may can do it a little cheaper if you piece it together, but it would be a PITA and you run the risk of forgetting something.

The kits are far from 'everything' you need, but it gives you a real good start. Having friends with spare parts and a local hose shop will be a real asset to completing it.

As much as we learn to hate the VP-44 is really isn't that bad of a pump, if it is built right.
Many conversions are horror stories from trying to get it to run right.
Did you talk to guys like Piers?
you can buy a new VP every 4-5 years and save a lot of money and trouble!!!
