installed Edge EZ

I intstalled my Edge EZ, and boost elbow last night. I guess I was expecting a whole lot more out of it becuase I really didnt notice allot of difference. From what I had read on them, I was expecting to feel allot more get up and go, but it just doesnt feel like I have gained 50hp. I know they claim 65 hp, but this doesnt feel like that much.

could there be something wrong with it? Im sure I have it hooked up right.

edit: the jumper is set to the far right.

Check your pin settings. For peak performance i believe the pins to the extreme right should have the connector on them.

Remember 65 hp is peak gain, not the gain at peak. You should see an overall wider powerband with the power comming on much sooner. I know mine feels a lot stronger thru the entire power band not so much at the top of it.

it just seems to me that this thing should perform a lot better than this. If this is all its got, I am very dissappointed.

my dads 99 psd with a diablo sport chip would rock&roll. I was expecting the same. But I did not get it.

could I have it hooked up wrong?

I've heard that the HOs don't see as dramatic an increase as the Standard Output folks.
Could that be the case?

I think there is only one way to hook it up. I had installed 275's right before the EZ so I cant give you a good feel of what it is like without the injectors, but i was all smiles. I did notice a big difference when the box was removed when the pump was replaced
try givinge it a few days, then take it off and see what you notice.

im a S.O., not an H.O.

I'll give her a few days. This is a used box, so I hope it isnt bad. I bought it from a DTR member, so I trust that its legit.

If I remember correctly from a previous thread, the pin position is with the Edge label mounted "up". Evidently someone had mounted theirs with the label down and was using the "1" position.

I don't have the HO, but the Edge EZ made a world of difference in mine. I was after better acceleration in 4th and 5th and that's exactly what I got. I don't feel a lot of increased acceleration above 65 mph or so, but there is increased pulling power at higher speeds.

Check your instructions for pin placement in regards to circuit board position (board on top or bottom in pic).

DD2's make a real good combo with ez, edm's make a better one. Injectors really like the timing of the ez. Like dsldan said, take it off in a few days and you'll notice the diff.

my ez is to the far left for low end power. you may have them in the wrong position if they are to the right. i noticed a huge improvement when they were set correctly and not much of an improvement when they were set the other way.

I also noticed a whine from the turbo area when I get to 25-30 psi.
Its not the turbo whistling, I know exactly what that sounds like. Ive been running the bhaf for too long to get them mixed up.

im gonna try and tighten all the intercooler boots to see if maybe one might have been leaking.
