The F1 Injectors are super clean, But nothing that DDP Doesn't offer. The DDP Has more R&D involved plain and simple. DDP Has a tech dept.
(No Offense Don)
Don's Major problem revolved around customer service. I installed 6 sets of CR injectors in one truck , after being told for months that I was installing the injectors wrong (4 very well known guy's verified installation method and it's to the T shown in the Dodge Manual's, Alldata and so on) I requested the injectors be returned to a factory state. We'll not discus the end result after the injectors we're properly repaired, and the problems that LIE Within!

I ended up paying over $400.00 in overnight charges back and fourth to don....NEVER spoke to Don on the phone ...I take that back, I did speak with him once! All other times I spoke with April who didn't have the knowledge required to help diagnose the problem. This means I spent over 6 weeks dealing with JUNK and never speaking with the horses mouth. Only hearing how I was wrong.

Later I found out this wasn't just happening to me, It was happening to everyone that dealt with him! The Lead time is just silly to get a set of injectors that need to be sent back multiple times!

Even later the fact comes out that the valve springs that I've been running in a 800+ horse truck came out of a 5.4L Ford motor......We wont talk about that profit involved in that...

I have no hard feelings, I'm not talking smack....This is two the T exactly what happened. No exaggeration , No Bull! I'll take my sales somewhere where there appreciated and valued. I wont be lied to or jerked around, And I dang sure wont put my reputation on the line for someone who's like that!

maybe some of the others who have had bad experiences will chime in. not doubting your bad experience, but it sure seems to be the minority so far!

Care to share the details of these springs a little more? I always thought the high RPM 24v springs were a bit overpriced, but even more so if they are actually a common off-the-shelf item from a different motor.

I would contact some folks such as Olee Poole, Jason over at diesel nut and many many others. Do some research on the third gen forums. I'm not trying to stir the pot, And in the end, It'll come out anyway. There's quite a few affected as well. In no way am I speaking on behalf of anyone or anything but stating the fact's. NOT MY OPINION. It would be interesting if we had a poll with 1:Customers who have talked to anyone at F1
2:Customers who have not talked to Don or April (The great folks over at f1)

In no way is this an attack of Mr. Don Morrison, April Morrison or Their company F1 Performance Diesel, Their Injectors or valve springs, or anything BUT their customer relation issues. I feel it completely acceptable to speak of a companys faults openly. who knows, Maybe it will constitute some changes that would be to the benifit of everyone. It is only constructive criticism so I would appreciate it if everyone would keep this a friendly conversation only.

It would be easiest to take a set of the springs to an expert in that area, I would also take a set of Ford 5.4L Triton springs with you!
I've used Zach Hamiltons springs lately and have to say their a great product!
F1 Springs are still a great product, There's absolutely nothing wrong with the springs in 90% of trucks. If your in that 10% you know exactly what your valve springs are and how they perform!

Correct, Failures have been limited to the common rail injectors. The situation with everything else arose through the problem and showed lack of customer support. I also wanted to add, The common rail injector is a complicated injector that prone to failure (IMO) and damage compared to the P and VP series injectors. I'm sure lot's of manufacturers and shops have problems with these injectors, It's not just F1.

So you would still recommend the Mach 1.6 injectors for the 2nd Gen engines ?

The Mach 1.6's Are Great, The DDP's Offer the same quality. The F1 name or anyother name is not worth the hastle!

I have not spoke with Don or April on the phone(nobody would give me his number only an address), he checked my injectors and fixed one of them at no charge(which I bought used). Come to find out they were modified by someone else, but he fixed the one nozzle anyway. I contacted him through pm's, just wish I could have spoke with him on the phone.

I've never spoken with Don, but he did respond to a PM I sent him through NW Bombers. He gave a detailed and informative explanation to my question.

However.......I still run DDP and have no reason to change. I live a few miles from DDP ( I'm lucky, you should see the new shop! The ultimate diesel performance toy store! ) and am friends with everyone there. BUT, if their products didn't live up to their claims and my expectations, I would shop elsewhere.
