Injectors
Injectors
Since my injectors are somewhat faulty I'd like to replace them with something like DD2 or DD3s.( the problem is that they don't flow anyway near enough )
My first question is whether it is possible to get just the parts like nozzle, pin and seals to upgrade the injecors myself, since I do not want to have to pay the core charge or to send the injectors back because of the hassle with customs and freight. I have rebuilt injectors fro my Toyo and for some other cars. I can use an injector test stand and measure pop-off pressure and ascertain spray patterns and flow rate.

Any comments on feasability, downsides etc?

Thanks!

AlpineRAM
Re:Injectors
Yep, thought about the more radical injectors too. But since diesel is about 3,25 US$/gal over here and there are smoke controls with fines up to 10.000.- US$ ...
Basically I am looking for an injector that gives me some HP but won't go too crazy. And if possible to build it on my own and just buy the parts needed .
AlpineRAM
Re:Injectors
You can buy 275 RVs for less than $300 bucks with no core.Low smoke good power upgrade.
At that price its not worth rebuilding, and it take less than 2 hrs to put them in.
Danny

Danlit : Do you have a cummins part No?
Even though I'd like to go a little bigger. I think I could ask Cummins Austria for them if I had a part No. Maybe there are even biger ones for the ISB ???

AlpineRAM
