Injector Washer Part Numbers

I have a set of 370s but would like the part number for the thin washers.

I should use the thin washers, correct? Any problems with using thin washers?

They should seal up fine. You need to use a bore brush to clean the hole out then use a vaccum or swab to remove any debris from the bottom, if thier is any debris on the sealing surface of the injector hole it will leak. I have had no problems with the thin washers sealing up and mine hasn't leaked from day one. Get your CPL# for your engine and call cummins they will be able to tell you the information you need. You should use the size washers your CPL# calls for. This will determine the spray pattern of the injectors.I used a shotgun cleaning kit to clean my injector holes with, it has the round wire brush, cotton swab, and small handle.

i've put 4 sets and always use the thin washers no sealing problems. don't use a torque wrench tighten them down as tight as you can get them without stripping the threads. i tried using a tq wrewnch the first time and every injector leacked it's a pita to tear it all apart just to fix a leak. call haisley and tell them you want some thin injectors they'll know what your talking about they are .50 each

OK, sounds like I need to really clean the injector bores next time I swap them!!

I always use german torque on them too...goodentight Which is tight as I want to go with a socket that doesn't fit quite right.

BTW, anyone know what size the hold-down nuts are? 15/16" is a bit too loose, but that's the only deepwell I have. No metric that big

Hold down nut is 24mm. Worth money to pick up a 24mm deepwell from Sears or where ever. 15/16" can round the nut when trying to get a high mileage rusty injector out or torqueing them down to 44ft-lbs.

Bosch part number for .020 injector washer 2430105048.
