im uneducated.. help?
i need a lift pump soon. im gonna be gone for a month and not drive my truck but once i get bak i want to purchase one.. lookin at raptor and air dog, fass.. air dog runs over 500 bucks raptor is 300 somethin for a 150 flow system.. wats the diff???? i cant seem to find that out?? if raptor is good, i wil go with it just cause of scarcity of money.. al i plannin on is 150 hp injectors and drag comp.... Help..
the raptor is just a pump. no fuel-air separator. i believe that the airdog uses the raptor pump. the air dog is the whole fuel air separation system. i have just the standard raptor pump, the RP-150. It is definately a nice pump, fully adjustable. i have it set at 15psi at idle, and at WOT with the comp on 5x5 i can suck it down to about 10-11. this is with a vulcan 1/2" lines as well. its a stout pump for sure, and better warranty than the FASS high pressure pump.
or there is this

I installed the FASS on my 02. I would do that again and eventually I will on my 98.
I liked the ease of the filters and the air separation helped it idle smoother. I was also running some "questionable" fuel so I was happy to have the two filters; one 10 micron and one 2 micron if I remember correctly.
