IAT sensor ? socket size not 13/16

I have a 99 2500 ext cab lonbox and have been wanting to clean the IAT sensor. Everything I read talks about a 13/16 deep well. It is way bigger than that. I have tried 1 1/8" and it is still to small. Before I start spending money on big sockets can anyone help me out. My mileage has been around 16 in town and 19 to 20 on the hwy. Not bad but trying to squeeze everything out of a gallon of diesel.

Thanks, Mike

You need an 1-1/4" deep socket for the IAT.

Ok I got it out but it doesn't look like the sensor from the link to Geno's on how to clean your IAT sensor. It is missing the white part with square cut outs that should have the carbon build up on it. Any ideas?

Nevermind I am a idiot. I took the Map sensor out not the IAT.
