I don't want more than that. I just want to match the performance of my mildly teaked 93 that I'm selling. What should I do? Is a 4" downpipe enough in the exhaust deppartment, or do I need the whole setup?

I'm assuming you are working on the 96? 250hp should be easy to do really. I would suggest a Governor Spring Kit (GSK). Cheap and easy to install, makes a big difference on the RPM range and usable power. After that a modified fuel plate. Most guys now modify it themselves to fit a profile of a #10 or #100 plate. Then a plug off on the wastegate line. That should be enough to put 250 to the wheels and then some.

Yep, it's my 96. I can't spend any money on it until I sell my 93 though. I'll limit my wastegate signal, slide my plate forward a bit, crank the wheel a click or two, and pull the pyrometer out of my 93 and put it in my 96. When I sell the 93, I'll fix the transfer case, the AC and install a 4"downpipe and 3k spring kit. Thanks to you guy's advice and two nights of searching the sites, that's my plan.

with a auto you may as well put a 4k spring kit in it- keeps any chance of the pump from defueling away and the auto wont let it float the valves- unless your over 100mph then maybe
