I think you can get a scotty system from our own DTR store.

Sorry if you don't appreciate the humor =\ The thing that makes the scotty air louder is drilling the hole in the cowl. Drill the hole and the turbo will be louder. Change the intake and it'll be even louder still.

Cut the hole and move the air cleaner inside the cab. Use a B2 instead of a 3b.

Any filter that gets rid of the stock airbox will be plenty loud. I have the AFE Stage1 and I took it out of my truck because it was too loud. Keep in mind that with systems like the AFE or BHAF you will also get increased intake howl, which I personally dislike.

Hey, what about this smooth idea?
when looking at the air box on a 1 gen,
would it be possible to Remove the air Box(Not the plate that the air filter hooks to) and simply have the plate there with some screen or mesh over a K&N Airfilter.
I have heard of drilling holes inthe air box to make the turbo louder, but what about pulling the Box itself out? THANKS,
Wheelo

RonA,
Im unsure as to what you are refering to when you said move the air intake 'inside the cab'? And a 2a and 3b; are you refering to the size of your hole saw bit?

The owner that had my truck before me had a Scotty in the truck and has the hole cut in the cowl. The Scotty isn't in there any more (I have an AFE) but the hole is still there. It's extremley loud! I love it!

I can say from experience that drilling the cowl does make the turbi louder, even with the stock air box.
