I ton air ride?
I ton air ride?
I have been thinking of doing a complete air ride system on my dually, for the ride and capacity.
If I remove the front coil springs and relocate the shocks to the outside of the cups I should be able to mount the backs fairly easy, right?
The rear will be more involved since I will have to fabricate a swing arm that mounts and pivots on the facory front spring shackle. At the other end I will mount the air bags and I will have to add a track bar to keep it all pointed in the right direction.
I want to use standard bags from one of the semi manufacturers to make parts easier to find, especially in the event of a failure.
The truck is a 97 2wd that is being converted to a 4wd. Dana 80 rear and 60 front.
