Exclamation I need help deciding a lift pump!!?? Please.....

I have been looking at different lift pumps and have found several, but want to make sure I am getting the right amount to the injectors. I have seen Holley Blue advertised with 14psi. Carter with 100gph/18psi. BD ....not sure on the specs of it, I've heard and seen all sorts of numbers on it, I like the price of it, and that it's good for 600hp. I'm not looking at racing my truck, for hauling only...business truck. Does anyone know the specs on the BD lift pump??? I would like to know what you all think about it, how many pgh, and psi I should look for. One more thing, what's the difference between the Big Line Kit, and the Big Line Relocation Kit? Which would the best to get for what I need. I have an 01 1 ton, and adding 120 hp to it. I'm looking at ordering this before the weekend, thanks guys!!! Any help and info will be greatly appreciated!

Jordan

Big line Kit will replace the stock fuel line and banjo bolts for better flow. The Big Line Relocation Kit does that AND relocate your lift pump to the frame. I believe it only moves it to the frame just below the cab / firewall area tho. The BD lift pump will relocate the lift pump to the frame, but it'll be relocated back next to the fuel tank..........

Have you heard anything on those BD pumps? Would it still be a good idea to go with the big line kit as well then?

people on this site all seem to have mixed feelings about the bd. some have very good things to say. others will recemend something else, not 'cause it's bad or anything, they just want more and bigger (like walburg or fass). yeah a big line kit would a very good upgrade imo................

Well BD says the pump is good for up to 600hp. I need to find out the gph and psi though, it's not telling me on their website.

I have a FASS HPFP on mine and love it. I put in on when my second factory pump went out. The kit came with bigger lines and I added the bigger line from the filter to the VP44.

No matter which way you go, just do it. You can't compromise when it comes to the fuel pump system in these trucks. Several of the vendors in the Links above will have everything you need.

Thanks for the links, I checked it out and have a question. Do you know if I'll need the draw straw or not? What is the max psi you can set it at? Thanks

I think the walbro pump kits with a bypass are the way to go. I've been looking at the Glacier system for a while. What makes it worth $100 more than wide open diesel's?
