i am going to bite the bullet

well with what i have in my sig, i can still hit 1600 pretty easy with the TST comp stacked with the DRAG comp. so i am planning on sellin my SPS64/ 14 and going with twins. i sure wish i would have listened to you guys from the begginning and did it right the first time rather than buy 3 different turbos. dont get me wrong, this turbo is freakin amazing, but the egts are still up. had it set to 57 psi and things were way to hot so i backed it down to 48 and it works beautifully , just a little toasty. i think i am going to go with a SPS62/12 with B2 or S400 or mabey even a big brother. what do you guys think

From what I've heard/read an S400(B2) is perfect for a 24v, I've heard people say that a Big Brother just wouldn't be able to get enough fuel to be used right but an S400 will and flow enough air for almost 700hp and spoolup better... When are you thinking of making the switch?

I'm installing a 62/12 tomorrow on mine and we've got the same combo almost. I know it's going to get hot but it's gotta be better than this KSB-1. Anyways, I'm definately gonna put an s400 under that turbo. It's supposed to be good up 600+hp. Let me know how it goes cause I'm dying to know.

I think you should call II before buying another turbo. That sps64 can be made into a sps62 fairly cheap.

That's a good point. Also, you might be able to use your 64 in the twin setup and just put a 12 housing on it to help spool up.

big brothers can be ran on 24v truck and alos can be street driver . most of them i have heard of are running like mach 6s or 7s or some other brand of 200plus hp sticks and im not taking the rv types .

that 64/14can be ran with the b2 and make a nice set up . it will not spool like a 62/12 up top but will flow more air and make more power.

If you are not going to run an external wastegate I would run a 14 exhaust housing. A 62/14 over an S400, will supply all the air a VP44 can use, IMO. Specially if you add a Helix 2 cam. My EGT's peak at just a little over 1200* at the 1/8 mile and stay there the rest of the way down the track. You could use the 64, but I don't really think you will gain much over the 62, and it will probably spool a little slower. If you are going with an external gate then use a 12cm housing, and you'll gain some spool. People ask me at what RPM do they spool. Well I can tell you that at 1300rpm, they will make more boost, and more torque, then I want to subject my drivetrain to (at that rpm).
