My service manager at my local Dodge dealer convinced me the subject tuner is just what I needed for my truck. He has a 98.5 2500 and said it made a big difference pulling his boat. I pull a fiver 10K (17.5K truck/trailer). Some of the long steep hills out west are pretty rough. The service manager and HYPERTECH said that EGTs were not a problem, the program works like the stock program and restricts performance when the limits are reached. Is anyone out there running the HYPERTECH with gages that can comment on this. I plan on running stage II.

 

don't buy a hypertech spend your money on one of the products from edge their products are designed just for diesels, hypertech don't have too much experience in diesels.
