Hy to HX conversion.
A friend of mine has a 99 24v Auto. Fully stock.
Would a hx35 and rv275's fit easily into it? He has been talking about bombing it lightly and I am about ready to upgrade to m4's and sps62 this weekend.
What kind of performance gains would he see, and would it be beyond the trannies ability to hold it?
I am glad that I have a 6-speed.

Will have to check on the turbo. I got into this bombing rat race with my 01HO so I never paid too much attention to what was good for automatics. I do recall reading a post that during some years they didn't put the hy on the automatics now that you mention it.
The only time I have been under his hood was to put my fuel pressure guage to check his lift pump. To my suprise, no banjo fitting.
Guess it is time for a second look.
FYI, I do know that he had the in-tank lift pump put in.
