Does anyone out there have any experience with upgrades to this turbo without dropping $1200 or more on an aftermarket unit?I was thinking along the lines of bearings or something.

Latching onto this thread, I may have similar interest here. Want to do a bigger turbo but dont want to loose brake, thinkin this may be a viable option. And will this do anything for EGTS and/or reducing some of the smoke?

 

Get it turned into a Hybrid HX35/40 with a larger Exhaust housing. The link above for HTT is good info. Call them and they can explain it in more detail.

 

I have a 60mm compressor upgrade on my hx35. It definitely helped with my egt's. I haven't seen anything over 1250 deg., but i haven't towed with it yet. I bought mine from Gillet. Much better price than HTT, and good people to deal with. I would like to go with a bigger exhaust housing but haven't yet. Pleased with the upgrade but if I added any more fuel I would definitely need something bigger.
