HTT stock turbo upgrade kits

Has anyone bought and put together one of the High Tec Turbo compresor kits on thier stock turbo?
How hard was it to put together and how do you like it?
How much did it drop in EGT did you see?

Im not sure on egt drop. Mostly depending in the truck and elevation! I would say its similar to any other upgrade for the stock turbo , There all pretty simple! Very good instructions im sure! I would think of going to a 62 if the funds are available

The two options I was thinking of were a cheap Htt upgrade or a S300 (which means a Hx 40 down pipe and 4" exaust as well) form Piers.

The thing I like most is incredibly fast spool up and fast 0-60 times. The stock turbo is great for that at my power level of course but gets a little hot when under load.

My biggest fear of going with much larger turbo is loosing that quick spool as well as loosing some fuel economy due to lower boost at highway speeds.

I never plan on breaking 400hp so I was guessing a 60mm wheel on the 35 would be the way to go...?

hx 35 upgrades are not worth it IMO. (for most people!)

a lot of guys i have seen upgrade the stocker then end up getting out of its cooling range within 6 months or less.

dont get me wrong, HTT sells some great stuff.

might as well step upto a 62/12 and add a little more HP

I think that is me! You are talking egt? I 1st added ez w/ stock turbo and sticks and egt's were ok. Ez to a dump and I added DD2's, went to HTT hx 35/40 and am borrowing a friends superchips(tow mode) I can really get hot fast now, really fast when towing. I know altitude doesn't help me much @ 6,200 ft+ or if I get a strong head wind egt's will stay @ 900-1100deg doing 65 .

I think I need a 4" down pipe and ???? suggestions anyone. I wish I could get my tst to work

Cant tell ya anything about the kit but I can tell ya that the hybrid on my truck does wonders. Spools almost as fast as the factory one and EGTs are easily managable. Unloaded I dont even look at the pyro under full acceleration. When I installed the dodgezilla it actually signed my clutches death warrent. Started slipping within days.
