HT3B or BHT3B?

i found out the price of these new schwitzer turbos,

the BTH3B is 1,200 pesos (120 USD) more expensive then the Ht3b.
The seller said the BHT3B spools a lot faster then the ht3b

i think the ht3b has a dived inlet.
can i save that money for a twins setup?
thx

EDIT: or i can have an used one for 300 bucks... but its a BHT3E

The BHT is machined for a map width enhancement.

If it were my truck, I would run it.

The bht3b will spool quicker, but the ht3b will out flow it on the top end.

i have had a few different bht3b's and ht3b's. and the funny thing is they all had different size inducers. the one i run on my truck right now has a 2.9" intake, i have one in the shed with a 2.8. and i have another that is just shy of 3"s. i would ask to see exactly how big it is.

do you think i will regret going with the Ht3b?

interesting to hear you had both tested. is the power difference very noticable... meaning both: faster spool up w the "BH" and more top with the "H"

SO... what inducer size is best??

and: they are remanufactured. is that a problem? sum1 said yes.

thx fellas

it really is not going to make as big a differance as you think. any turbo with a inducer size of 2.7 to 3.0 will work just fine. towing works best with a smaller exhaust housing and horse power is made with a bigger exhaust housing. i would suggest you pick up a turbo with a map cut in it, just because it will be of a newer design. what are you hp goals?

what is "a map cut in it?"

my goal: about 500 HP
or 109 mph in 1/4

the 3E wouldn't be a terrible idea. that's what i'm running and am quite happy with it. with that and a hybrid on top i was running out of fuel somewhere over 400hp. haven't dyno'd since adding a bunch of fuel, but i'm pretty sure it'll keep up.

i looked at the used 3E again...and it was bad. so i wont go with that one.

OK. how many have only the HT3B /26 ? and how is it?
I think about buying that one? or should i pay the extra 120 bucks for the BHT3B?
