HP guess for 02'?????
HP guess for 02'?????
truck is an 02' 6 spd. QC SB, it has the following drag comp,200+hp nozzles,bd twins, snow water/meth, custom ground cam??, 5" exh., I know it may be a rough figure without knowing the exact specs on the injectors & cam, but roughly what kind of numbers would you guess this thing should make, & I mean real world dyno proven rear wheel hp??? I know there are probably some trucks around here that are set up roughly the same as this one that have been on the dyno countless times??? so throw out some guesses, thanks, Dusty
Is the truck and HO or SO model? Also what brand injectors are you running?
If the truck is a SO model and you don't try and push to much meth (<50%) I would say around 600. If you have an HO truck you will be closer to 550.

it's a ho, not sure what the injectors are, it's a friends truck, he had a stock set edm'd somewhere???? I figured around 550hp myself, he says it dyno'd at like 748 rwhp????? doesn't add up to me??? thanks, Dusty

. No way an HO truck is going to do that even with nitrous..... He is going to be between 500-550 RWHP if on a dynojet.
glad to know I'm not crazy, that's more what I was thinkin, isn't there a correction factor for like the mustang dynos or somethin???? I figured maybe they left that part out, cuz I watched a stock 03' 6 spd. pull almost 400 hp on a mustang brand dyno, & I think he dyno'd in 3rd gear & not 5th???? def. something fishy?????? I'm not buyin the 748 hp???? if he's at 748, then I'm at least 550-600 & I know that's impossible, it just doesn't run good enough to be 748hp worth, oh well let 'em keep on dreamin, thanks, Dusty
Maybe they have to recalibrate the dyno. There was one dyno here that would you would make more power at 3000 ft, than you would at sea level. Dyno's are just ways to bench mark your truck before and after you add a bomb. The best way is the old 1320ft equalizer test. Run heads up and see. I'm with jetpilot, how many HO trucks regardless of parts run over 550 mark? There out there but with a hot rodded injection pump or have a P pump. There just not enough fuel in a HO pump for much more than that.
