How to wire a double throw double pole switch for TC lockup?

Is there a specific way to wire a double throw/double pole switch for TC lockup? I want to be able to force lockup, run normal and be able to run without locking up. I wired the orange/brown wire to the ends and the ground to a center terminal and could get the TC to lockup, but it would not lock as it normally does. I have a potentiometer, will that cause the switch not to lockup?

Hmmm....
In my mind you need a double pole switch with center off (on-off-on) unless that is what you are talking about. Basically, you need to interupt B11 (orange/black) or whatever it is from the PCM and run it through this switch. One pole will close B11 so it's "normal" in either "on" position, and open it in "off" position, for no lockup at all. Run PCM side, or feed side, to the center/common terminal, and output/load side of B11 to both of the other terminals for this pole.

The other pole will ground B11 in ONE "on" position, for manual lockup. The other "on" position will just keep B11 continuous for normal operation. Then center off will open the B11 circuit, eliminating lockup. I hope that makes sense.

Once you add a potentiometer to the mix that's way above my qualifications.

I think a single pole double throw on/off/on would work. The line to the converter goes to the center post. On one side you would go to ground for manual lock-up. On the other side you would hook up to the wire from the PCM. Middle would be no lock-up, one way would be manual, the other stock.

To do it with your double-pole, just use one side. All you need to do is switch between which two wires your lock-up grounds through.

NE Frmhd,

"To do it with your double-pole, just use one side."

Do you mean by this sentence to use one side of a double throw/double pole or one end?

I'm more of a diagram guy if you could post it that way.

Just use one side of the switch to trigger the TC.
Use the other side for indicator lights if you like.
