How well does a SPS62 do for daily driving?

Im lookn at going to a larger single but still wanna have a good low smoke street truck, currently my truck only hazes at idle, once rolling its very very clean, but I need more and dont wanna have a lag monster, I couldnt find any info searching so I figured I would ask, again from what I have read it looks like the SPS62 might do the trick, im not lookn for ultimate hp but for a good all around balance, Thanks.

my sps62/14 is very streetable. there is some low end smoke(but i am stacking programmer and module). it clears up about 90% of it. towing, the egt's are much lower than stock, it have a hard time exceeding 1200* pulling my 10k trailer. top end pulling power is much better than stock. it supports over 500hp. i am really happy with the turbo.

I would look into High Tech Turbos 63/13 with the Stainless Steel housing. Nice quick spool and good egt cooling. Best of both worlds.
There is a thread going on now about the 62/13.

i think you might be more satisfied with the Phat Shaft 62 instead of the Super. The Super Phat Shafts are a little more competition oriented. I had one on my 12valve and it was kind of either on or off and not a lot of in between.

the nice thing about a super, is that it can be made into a 66, once you outgrow a 62. you dont have to buy another $1700 turbo, just a few hundred bucks and sps66.

HTT will upgrade your 62 to whatever size you would like for around $300. I like my 62/14 for daily driving and towing. If I upgrade I Will go to the Stainless Steel housing.

I had mach 6's like you, but mine was on a HO pump so your getting more out of yours. Mine would run way to sps62 would run way to hot for confort, even with my water/meth. I think you need to go bigger, call Doug or some one you can trust, tell them what your going to do with it, and get their thoughts. What about putting a s400 on the botton of you 62/12. just a thought.

i liked my sps62, i think it lit better than the stock turbo. my egts were 600* highway and at full throttle it would take about 5seconds at full throttle to get 1800*. i was pulling with a sps62 in my video, i liked it alot but i think a sps64 would have been better

Well I would say the same thing as Rick but Forrest was banned a few weeks ago, IDK why though. He really liked the turbo and made 534rwhp with it on his 12v...

Get a cam so you can keep the quick spooling turbo you have, use less boost, bring egts down, less smoke,...

Wait for the 3 page post coming from Hohn below
