Question How much HP/TQ should my truck be at now ????

I need a clutch upgrade and trying to decided what level to go with.

See Sig for mods.

These Dyno results were before a couple recent mods...

Dynoed March 08--> 384 HP/853lbs TQ

Recent mods... Waste gate Blocked off. AFC adjusted Full Forward.Truck was pulling 32psi BEFORE the mods. Now pulls around 45psi.

Truck is pulling MUCH harder now!

Where "should" the #s be now ?? "Ballpark".

What is the EGT?
I do not agree with the idea of blocking the wastegate. It reduces the drive pressure and that protects the head gasket. It also prevents overspeeding the tubo. Do you realize you are pumping a lot of hot air into the motor at 45 psi with a stock turbo?

How much HP and TQ?

WoW that is alot of both! Just jelious. It would be better to put a gauge in there to check what the air temp? You don't want your intake air to be above the 150*F. Mine would never go above 19 psi boost even blocked off.

You might have cracked 400/900, but not much more. 32-35 psi of boost is about the max for making power. After that, you're just blowing hot air. It's fueling harder purely because of the extra boost, and will pull harder, but isn't making a whole lot more peak power.

Get a bigger lung on that thing and then feel the power difference.

NO problem at all with high EGTs.

It does momentarily spike up when boost goes past 40psi or so. But that can be expected.

Other than that, EGTs have been a NON-issue.

Only thing now is my clutch can't handle the extra torque.

Roger that.

I NEED to get a beefier clutch/flywheel to handle the extra muscle!

What is the next step up (TURBO-wise) over stock ??

At 45 psi you have NO EGT issues? Uh something doesn't add up , I have EGT issues even with a bigger blower and did with the stocker...

Like I said earlier, it DOES SPIKE UP when the boost goes 40+psi. Maybe, hitting 1000F +/- for a few seconds or so.

BUT, I do NOT run the boost the high for more than a few seconds at a time.

The EGTs usually stay in the 600F range while cruising down the highway. When I go to pass someone OR just feel like going WOT, it EGTs WILL shoot up accordingly. Again, the EGTs do NOT stay high by any means.

I do have 4" straight pipe which certainly helps defuse exhaust temperatures.

Just curious where is your EGT probe located at is it in the exhaust manifold before the turbo or is it after the turbo big difference with EGT's to get an accurate reading it shoud be placed before the turbo

forget a new turbo just add one more! hx35 with a s400 or 3b can be great when properly tuned.
