How many miles on your MODDED engine?

Power is one thing, but reliability is another. How many miles have you guys put on your modded engines (please describe mods)? If you've put 100k miles on it but you've blown the headgasket 4 times, it doesn't count. It needs to be solid, continuous miles.

My truck had an edge comp before I bought it with 175K miles. I did a vp44 around 180K and then the mods really started happening. No major problems except for an unexplainable tranny that quit lubing when i was towing down the highway at 65 mph. My rebuilt tranny received an extra quart of lube to help prevent this.

Now have 240K on the clock, never touched the motor. I daily play with 450Hp and weekly max out the settings and get my full 499 to the ground. Truck is my dependable daily driver, but I let it warm up good before I beat on it.

60K hotrod miles by me, 175K heaving towing miles by the previous owner with an edge comp. Good motor if you ask me!

i bought the truck in my sig with 80,000 on it, it now has 201,000 miles on it. i did the tranny a sps62 turbo and injectors and edge comp at a little over 100,000 miles. the only problem ive had was about 10,000 miles ago when i put the twins on it poped a head gasket. but when i had the head off the cylinders still had the hone markes in them. to bad its a 53 block though.

Kind of understated. These engines will run long and hard. You get out of them what you put into them. Keep up on your maintenance and you should have no problems.

Mine started from 130 miles on it with a Banks system (lol) and set of RV's all installed by local dealer. Not that the Banks was a mod. Previous owner had it on there. I bought the truck with 123k and modding started the day I got it home. It now has 177k on it and MANY upgrades with no issues towards the motor - knock on wood.....

Holy cow diesel rob, are you a cummins collector or what? With that many rigs, you'll never wear them all out even if you drive around on kill.

Big Blue24 trust me it aint as fun as you might think. Just think how much you have in one truck. Those are only the modded ones. We have 5 more stock ones. Its hard to build one up when you here of a new mod, cause then you have to try it on one of the other ones. I could keep building the 06 up to pull cause its capable of 800 pretty easy, but its so nice and new looking. The 99 has door rust dents out the wazoo, scratched to bare metal, so i dont care if i go out and beat it up on the sled and break it. Every day i tell my freinds i wish i only had a gasser so i couldnt do this crap. Heck if i got a gasses from the start id be rich.

I have a little over 60k on my mods.
Started with a GSK & #4 plate (fully back) which took out the converter clutch at 95k.
Moved plate to stock position and dynoed at 300 hp 730 lb-ft. Wastegate blocked at this point.
Blew the head gasket after 1 too many 40 psi romps. (Do not remember mileage, but think it was around 105k). I also overheated the truck before the tranny work which I think contributed to the gasket failure.
P-pump went out at 148k which is unrelated to any mods.
Current mileage at 155k with 4 summer workouts hauling my camper and/or pulling 2 different enclosed trailers.

How did you manage to wear out a P-Pump?
