How Loud
Am considering a DPP 4" s/s exhaust system for my new 03 HO. I am a little concerned about cab noise, but I do want to lower EGT's and the like. Any opinions appreciated

Re:How Loud
KW,
You didn't say what year truck you have so I'll ty to answer for both the 24 valve and the 2003's. On a 24 valve you won't have ny problem with noise, the injection system makes enough noise so that you can't hear the exhaust system except when you want to hear it by flooring it etc. On a 2003 the exhaust is no louder than on a 24 valve but the engine is so quiet you hear it more. We have sold over 500 2003 systems and only had two customers that felt it was a little loudr than they wanted, one was looking to have OEM sound levels with a performance system, we told him that couldn't happen but he purchased our system anyway and now he has called back a second time and commented he's OK with it now that he has had it a few miles etc. You'll find ours is the quietest out there unless you put in a resonator or a really poor flowing muffler, but then why would you buy a performance system if you wanted to do that anyway. The other customer replaced our muffler with a perforated style muffler and felt it was quieter, history has always has a perforated muffler much louder than our Spiral Flow, but it made this particular customer happy, who knows? Call us if we can help you.

Re:How Loud
please excuse, i have an 03' HO with a 48re auto. what i really am concerned with is cab noise. i am used to normal diesel noise that's ok, i think that this is my 5th diesel truck (2nd cummins) i just don't want a young mans hot rod. i tow a moderate 5r and want the performance and as low as egt's as is reasonable
