Performance and Accessories 2nd gen only Talk about Dodge/Cummins aftermarket products for second generation trucks here. Can include high-performance mods, or general accessories.

How is the higher CR of a 2nd Gen ETH achieved? How does this affect injector specs?

The title says it all.

In 2002, the ETC engines have 16.4:1 compression, and the ETH engines have 17:1.

How exactly is the compression raised? Is the piston bowl shallower on the ETH?

How does this affect injector spray patterns? Is the spray angle different for the RV275 injectors compared to stock ETH or ETC injectors??

The new Cummins website is worthless for getting specs-- it's just a sales tool.

Maybe Don M will chime in here.

Thanks,
Justin

Yes the pistons are different in the ETH.

The RV275 spray pattern is different. 1 degree wider.

The 1 degree is not a big deal with those type/style of injector.
