Horn

I'm looking for an easy and inexpensive improvement to the horns on my 2003 2500 HO. I can't understand why Dodge can't put a good and loud horn on their trucks. I was going to do it on my '99 Ram, but never got around to it.

Re:Horn

I run a 24" Grover I bought from a big rig junkyard. At first I had it running off a 10gal air tank in my toolbox but that took up to much room.

Now I have a 12V air compressor I got on E-bay, I just need a tank and pressure switch.

TRUST ME A GOVER WILL WAKE UP DUMB* DRIVERS! I've got a Hadley about that size that I'm putting on my truck later this spring. I just got the tank off eBay--it's about a 5 gallon military truck airbrake tank. I might even leave it that nice olive drab color. ;D

I would just love to get the Grover Emergency Stutter Tone Air Horn seen HERE but I don't have an air brake system so I'd either have to get the full kit that includes everything (and costs $350!!!) or try to find an alternative route.

What all would I need (and how much would I have to pay) to maybe get just the horn for $99 and then hook it up to either an air tank or an air compressor? I'm thinking that maybe the air tank will wind up being cheaper?

Also, where is a good place to mount a long horn like this?
