Holy Cow!!

I got wooped yesterday by a newer Cummins dually 6speed! We were both blowing smoke up a road having a little fun (I was able to pull him) but then we stopped at a stop light and talked a little. We both started out in 2 gear reved up and popped the clutchs and off he went like he was shot out of a cannon. He was into 3rd gear and across the intersection before I even got spooled up. What gives???? I pulled him in our roll-ons, could this be the result of him loading something sneaky into his ECM, i.e. a Smarty? What other mod's could give such power on the low end? Holy Cow, I want what he had....

If he didn't have a Smarty, what other mod could he have had to get out of the hole so quickly? Any ideas?

Old school TST with Twins. Maybe another box on top of that. Who knows. Those 3rd gen guys are quick and dangerous.

could have been 4.10's ... being a 3rd gen he had at least 3.73's.

never underestimate a 3rd gens ability to spool a turbo. They will spool a turbo quicker than a 2nd gen. And they can do a lot more with electronics than we can.

Perhaps you were "Baited" into thinking you could out pull him in a roll-on but the third gens do seem to spool fast?
