Ordering injectors soon
And soon I mean tomorrow or friday. I've decided to go with the Mach 1.6 for EGT reasons when towing gross combined weight is typically 19,000lbs and up. But I'm wondering if I should skip the 1.6's and jump right up to the Mach 4's. And if I go with Mach 4's will I be able to keep the EGT's under control enough to tow before I upgrade the turbo.
Any comments would be helpful and appreciated.

I have the same question as well Don. I am due to get my Smarty this week and have been "bitten". I assumed I would go with the 1.6's (I have the HO), but wondering if I should just get the 4's, clutch be damned.
Can I run the 4's with the stock turbo?

1.6's for the SO and 1.2's for the HO for towing heavy.
The 4's might be too much for the stock charger and heavy weight

and stock charger no problem and one fast truck! Clutch will slip if you "use" the loud pedal too much, too often.Don~

I'm torn between jammer 3's and jammer 4's??? Or should I go w/ 1.6's? 1.2's or 4's?? I want to buy a set of injectors to run w/ my ez and maybe get a comp or powermax down the road. Or should I do injectors and smarty?
I guess I just need some guidance.
Thanks,
-Ryan

you guys should look at bds xxx injectors, they are like almost half the price and they work awsome,i just got the smarty and they work great with it,they dont smoke much at all,i got real good service from them as well,
I have a catcher and the 1.6s with a stock turbo on my HO and only saw 1 x the egts hit 1300 thats with 23K gcvw going up the grapevine at 60 you will like the 1.6s its a good combo!
Thanks rebal, its good to know that I won't have to keep my eyes glued to the pyro and I can watch where I'm going because I'm not too sure what some of these other people are doing.
JD730 you will like the 1.6s I try and keep boost pressure at 32 PSI and it runs real good at 38PSI thats with my foot mashed to the floor it (egts)starts to climb up to the 1300* mark but its real easy to keep it cool just by letting up a tad .I would not run mach 4s with a stock hx35w you would have to keep a close eye on the pyro. all the time . when I did my first haul to mexico I was really hopeing i did not get to big of an injector .on every grade I hit I5 or I8 and even in mexico it was no prob. keeping egts in check .like i said thou if you mash it on real long grades you will see it start to climb . the only problem i had was with the catcher and 1.6s is not flying past the speed limit . the truck just wants to pull .at one point my son who was following behind us in a 2wd Nissan 4cyl PU going west on I8 up a long grade to san diago, had his foot to the floor in 3 gear reved a 4500 hundred and could not keep up with my truck pulling the loaded trailer. one nice thing also, the 5 of us(rigs) that went to mexico ,I got the best mpgs,10-12!
