Holly Blue pump

just bought myself one of the Bully Dog big fuel kits. i was wondering if its best to use this pump alone or combined with the stock LP, and if thats the case, before or after it inline. And also, if only running this pump could i just use the power going to to the stocker and splice into them?

Mine has been on for two years with no problems. I'm running both the holley & the stock lp. Far as wiring. The best way in my opinon is to tap into the hot wire going to the stock lp & using it for the trigger wire on a relay. That way you have constant 12v to the holley. If you try & use the stock hot wire as direct power to the holley it could be harmfull to your ECM, from what I understand.

Same here, i have had my blue pump on for over 2 yrs, only problem is when it hits -25 or lower, then the pump doesnt want to work, i also used the stock LP wire to trigger a relay, i have the Vulcan big line kit, with just the blue pump, idle at 13 WOT is 9. There is a spring you can "stretch" very little to bump up the psi a bit.

thanks a lot. does anyone know just how much stretching will raise your psi?? ive heard that its better to just use some type of shim, such as a washer.

yea, don't strech it much at all as you'll end up w/25psi like me. You'd probably be good just to leave it alone as I replaced mine and still have 20psi. No hard starts either as some mention because it's not constant 20psi upon cranking. No problems to date.

I agree, you can just use the lp wire. Mine worked fine, but the Blue eventually died, hence the Walbro.

I used the stockers wires to activate my ppe but I bypassed the stock lp. It is a brand new lp so if the ppe ever fails I can rig up the stocker and know it's still good to get me home just food for thought.

so the holly will push right through the stocker (which is not hooked up) and not lose any pressure or flow? or if im using just one pump should i take the stocker right out. Im just looking for the best way to set this up so i get the most life and performance out of it.

sometimes it will flow though, just depends on how it quits working.

he said he bypassed it.

no fuel flowing threw my stocker, it just sitting there bolted on but no juice or fuel going to it. I use it like a backup pump. I would need to run power and fuel lines back to it in order for me to use it
