Re:Holes in my air box ????
I think that if you want to stay with the stock airbox you better make real shure that the filter sits correct and seals. On my truck the airbox did not seal too good with the stock filter. I switched to the BHAF and have less dirt in the air intake than with the stock box.
I don't know about the K&N, never used one on the RAM.

Maybe you should look into the scotty system, it looks like a good sealing unit to me if you are comfortable with oiled filters.

AlpineRAM

Re:Holes in my air box ????
The stock airbox will probably be fine as long as it's not really "pushed", such as heavy towing in steep grades at high boost levels - otherwise, you will get significantly better flow if you drill the box - the stock air entry by itself is pretty restrictive under maximum engine demand...
Re:Holes in my air box ????

Re:Holes in my air box ????
snow, Mine did that as well :'(
I just left it untill I got the Dam-air system from Air Bulldog. It is a cold air intake from a front lower spoiler. there is a piece to modify your stock airbox and I used plastic and glue to seal up the holes I did in the bottom. I still use the stock opening in the fender but I used some foam to seal out the hot temps of the hood so only cool air from the front of the truck comes in. you can see the grille intake on the spoiler in the center of it. there is a 5" tube that goes from that to the airbox.
