high perf. vp-44

About a year or so ago Don M said he was working on a vp-44 on this forum has any body heard anything since then, and what ever happened to the Bosch vr-6, ATS was having trouble with mating it with the ecm but now with the catcher out maybe something could be worked out for it. On an old TDR thread it was said it might be able to flow as much as a P7100

I saw him (don m) post that Hot rod vp44's were pointless when everyone was talking about the cp3 pump. I have a customer back east who had his done by Scheid Diesel and he told me it was well worth the money, the pump is not cheap by any means. If I'm wrong Don correct me that is just what I read

If you have a 6 speed High Output engine the current versions of the hot rod pump will increase your HP potential. Piers, Industrial INjection, Scheid, etc.

If you have a SO automatic engine, the pumps will NOT add any additional HP potential for MAX power...except with the boxes turned off. You can make over 500 HP with no fueling wire tap box and large injectors using a Hot Rod VP.

HO trucks are the biggest benefactors. SO trucks can spend money elsewhere.
Some trucks have pumps that just dont work as well as others too. Weak pressure from worm cam rings, etc. Replacing these pumps with a new pump always helps power.

Power under the curve, ( inside the power graph) can increase some with the Hot VP over the stock VP, but using a Mach 5 or higher...the top power number can actually go down. Power under the curve is important to sled pullers and drag racers, but not to dyno queens.
