High flow banjo's
High flow banjo's
I installed them today and wanted to throw out a word of caution to anyone installing them. They call for a torque of 18 ft/lbs. For all practical purposes you can only get a torque wrench on 2 of them on an '02 truck. I would suggest to leave the torque wrench in your toolbox. I batted 50% on the 2 installed with the torque wrench. The bolt at the VP44 sheared, it almost gave me a heart attack. I was able to get it out and put the old one back in. All the ones installed with a wrench were fine and none leaked.
I'll give Geno's a call monday about the one that sheared.
Anyway, the install is pretty easy just take your time.

I have a set of the short stubby wrenches I use for fuel system work and I only put what I can pull on them with one finger. The seal washers have the rubber insert that does the sealing and do not need to be very tight at all. I have never had one leak yet and I have even re-used the old ones as many as three times.
