Let me warn you guys if you do this you might concider putting your silencer rings back in its way loud...sounds like a hoover is in the glove box and it aint happy . I put mine back in for a day then I took it back out because I kind of growed to love it . city streets arent safe , and my fuel milage has droped 2 MPG from WOT every where I go. I thought about putting little flames or something on it then I just settled on high gloss black.

Like I said is less than $40.00 and I like mine

Its simalar to $300 intake systems and Id love for somebody to test my design VS the main strem type just to see if they'll win.

The filter itsself has no OEM #

it was in the fast and furious rice burner aile at autozone

they had red, yellow, and blue they were all cool looking but I chose red because it looks like a K&N

Its very high quallity they let me open it and check it out before I bought it and its high quallity cotton like a K&N and its put together very well

OK here I go -------------First I really appriseate the compliments

REDUCER GETTING HOT ??????
Yes, the reducer will get a little warm ......it is about 1/2 inch thick and very durable @ first that was my guestion too then I when out and took a good look @ the factory boot and its made cheaper then the reducer I used so Its not a worry at all.

no part # on the fiter it has a 3" inlet tube and the box reads "for better high flow with factory 3 inch air lines
all they do is remove there air box and just hook up the filter and there done but our problem is the

OD for the turbo is 4" now you have to use a 45 ---the filter will not fit strait itll hit the altenator

the reducer is a 4" to 3" be warned if you take your tape measure with you the 4" side of the reducer will acctually read about 4 3/8 but it tightens right down on the turbo and its really on there you can not pull it off with out looseing the clamp.

the elbow is a 3 " one side is OD the other side is ID its not just a normal elbow I beleave its also schedule 40

the boot goes on the outside of the turbo then the OD end of the elbow goes inside the boot it also tightens down very tight now you just stick the ID end of the elbow inside the filter ...the filter has a clamp on it already you tighten it down and your done.

You dont have to buy any clamps the filter has its own and the reducer comes with 2 clamps

good luck I hope i saved some body some $$$

the BHAF is $50 a pop

you have to order ahead just to replace an old one because normal parts stores dont stock that size of filters

the Spectre is made just like a K&N but half the price

the spectre looks like it gets cleaned and oiled @ service time instead of replaced

now the spectre is not oiled factory and the box says nothing about oiling it-- it might not be that kind of filter I was afraid to oil mine in fear of clogging it up but after about 10,000 miles Ill clean it and put a little oil on it for safe measures.
