Help Leveling Or Rasing The Front
Help Leveling Or Rasing The Front
I just got my 285 tires and the rub when I hit a bump so I need to raise the front up. Im thinking two inches in the front to make it level? What do I need to raise it up?
you can go on ebay and seach for a leveling kit (lift spacers) for your dodge. Two inch will be perfect. The spacer is a steal ring that will sit on top of your spring and bolt on to your sping shackle.
they are not real hard to install, more time consuming than anything. If you go to an Oreilly's, Autozone or Napa to get a spring compresser( you need it) they will be able to show you in person.
p.s. that is what im talking about

I took my truck to Les Schwab. They installed a Tough Country 2.5 inch leveling kit and aligned my front end for 250 bucks.
It looks sweet......like they should from the factory.

Your truck is 2wd so you don't have as many options as far as steel spacers. Most of the spacers for 2wd trucks are neoprene or some sort of composite rubber. Look on ebay and you will find the most options, i'll bet a leveling kit for your truck can be had for 60 bucks on ebay.
Theres nothing wrong with the poly ones. Mine have been in for over 5 years and haven't had a problem yet. Every truck that I know of that runs spacers have the poly ones and some of the guys beat the crap out of their trucks and they hold up just fine.
Installation is not a big deal either, I did mine in just over an hour and a half parked on my front lawn.

the only other ones I can find (all of them are for 4wd) are here but they are only 1 1/2"

you dont need a spring compresser... put ur truck frame on jack stands and do both sides at once... put a jack under your front axle and lower after all bolts removed... put into position after u mark where ur springs go so they go back in the same way, and jack ur axle back up... install hardware and ur done... just a lil pain by yourself..
