Heater hose for oil line?
Heater hose for oil line?
How long do you all think 3/4" heater hose will hold up as a splice in the steel turbo oil drain tube? Probably exposed to 250*F oil, but not much pressure, it's 4 times bigger than the feed.
From experience not long. Industrial air hose works well, just get the oil resistant type. Should be some industrial outlets in your area.
BTW, the drain tube is metric, a real pita to get 3/4" hose on.

Oh, then I better return this 6' of heater hose I just picked up at Autozone! I just didn't want to wait for internet shipping, but I didn't even think about an industrial supply house. Thanks.
It's been two years since i had the same issue. BTW sorry for putting this thread up just wanna make some contribution. In my own view point, it would not take long depending on the shop. on the other hand you have another option and that is to re route the heater hose on your own. there are manuals available that you can use.
Mine is a 77 dodge though so Im not sure if this will be the same as yours..... nice to have some spring weather up. you can email me if you wanna see some pics...
