the aftermarket one piece housings did not work in my first hand experience. i tried them first, but then just ended up going with the sport conversion.

if going for looks, then go with the black housings.
if going for functionality - do a sport conversion with upgraded harness.
want the best of both worlds - do the sport conversion and then take the new housings to a tint shop prior to installing. or use black lens paint with a light coat. not sure of the legality though - i'll leave that up to you . . .

i was unhappy with the 'aftermarket ebay' and similar lights/housings. but others have been more than pleased.

oh wait - i see you have sport. in that case - maybe just upgrade the current harness and add a relayed harness in its place.

dont buy any after market headlights, ive installed like 10 sets on various cars and you will never ever get them to shine in the right part of the road.

Id just tint all my marker and tailights, if you can use a spray gun some clear coat and a lil black base coat dumped in it works great. Just sand down every inch of the light with 1500 grit, and make sure you spray everything at the same time with the same amount of coats. It looks kick *** on dark colored cars and trucks, I wouldnt put more than 4 coats of it if you mix the clear and base at a 5:1 ratio

I've thought about the sport conversion but w/the flosser bulbs can't one just install new or better lenses and upgrade the wire harness? Wouldn't you get the same benefit? thanks.

you get a benefit yes. but not the same benefit. especially since you can do the sport conversion (which incorporates an upgraded harness) and then add the flosser bulbs on top of it all. when my bulbs burn out - i will be replacing them with high wattage bulbs.

There are good and bad for each person. I hated my one piece lights till I broke the adjustment end cap so I could aim the lights the way I wanted, not just three feet in front of truck. The projection (low beam)lights don't light up the road and ditches like the stock ones do.
Also had the issue of it being wired incorrect from the supplier. A little do it yourself troubleshooting and they work correct. The aftermarket lights look great!
All depends on where you drive as well. My country roads are a little hairy when driving with low beam, thank the good lord for a good set of driving/fog lights!
