I have a buddy ofmine who has a 02 cummins and would like to know what is the best head gasket to run on his truck without firering or Oringing the block? He does have the 12mm studs already. Just lookin to hold alittle more boost.

if the head gasket has not blown already, then i would just leave it alone. Sometimes studs and a stock gasket can hold for a long time. If the gasket does blow and u have to replace it, most people go with marine gaskets.

Yes, the head gasket has blown. But, he has a truck that is fireringed and is not very happy with the way that it has turned out so he was wanting to know the best way to go. It blew a stock gasket with studs. However, the studs were installed without removing the head so therefore, there is no telling how far gone the original was already.
