If ya ain't popped it then you should be fine. Definately worth checking on though.

HUH....so the 3rd Gen gaskets won’t work.......i could have sworn i hear that they could from a very reputable source......HUH….o well…good to know I guess……I just don’t want to o-ring……

Interesting.......But he did say 12V. Same hold true for a 24V VP Engine?

Retorqued the head to 125 lbs tonight to see if the problem would go away, well, it didn't. All the studs were still at 96 lbs like we left them. Pulled the head and the compression took out the front part of the gasket. Put a straight edge on the head and couldn't get even the smallest feeler guage under it, I'll check the block in the mourning.

Talked to Doug at PDW about their Marine HG, he suggested that I go with o rings. Maybe I will. It's late, see ya'll.

the 12 valve gasket works on the 24 valve, you just need to enlarge a few existing holes. They are the gaskets many 24 v guys use when they install a firering setup.
