Well, i decided to sell my Silver 62 and build these twins. I bought the hotpipe, coldpipe, and the 3B 27cm from gwhammy. The rest i built. The good thing is, after selling my turbo, intake, and downpipe for a total of around 1600, i broke even! and thats with buying a brand new 5" exhaust. its like driving a new truck. I can build 30+ psi in 3rd gear (6-speed) vs. less than 10psi with the 62. my pop-offs open around 48-50psi and my clutch slips about 50% of the time. i dont have a drive pressure gauge yet either so i dont know what it is. i tuned the HE to ~27psi so anything after that is the 3B. This truck drives like a dream, and i haven't seen over 1300* with the box turned up, but that was only up to about 80mph. videos are at the end.

Why did it die in the first video?

 

im really not sure. it took starting fluid to get it cranked back up, and after that it ran fine, and still runs fine so who knows??

 

I like it very nice! Are you running studs? Whats up with the blow off's? I have never seen anything like that before?

 

thanks! no im not running studs. the pucker factor is pretty high when i go north of 40psi. i leave the box off most of the time and it drives great and hits about 42psi. the valves are to keep boost less than 50. they work great and sound awesome. when i get studs, i may crank her up a bit, but for right now, this combo works great.

 

the HE is tuned to 27psi, so anything above that, the 3B is compounded.

 

Well if it's any consalation I run over 50 a lot and to be honest I am just waiting for the day that the HG goes! If I were you I would without a doubt be putting stud's on that truck because its not a matter of if you will blow the HG with twin's it's only a matter of when...

 

yes i agree. im going to torque my factory bolts down soon to hold me over. i just hope its a while before it blows b/c when it does, i'm in for a lot of work.

 

I noticed in the 2nd video that your fuel pressure was pegged on 0. Is the gauge hooked up?
