Hey Brandon are you buying tires by the truck load? I guess you got all the parts to work together. WAY COOL!

April got a kick out of the video Brandon. She still remembers you when you came down and picked up the parts!

Keep rockin' Brandon...and stop calling me at 2 AM. LOL

I'm my own warrenty station? Whaa?

Yeah! I keep tellin' ya these Mach 6's are too tiny! They don't smoke any at the pulling track either. I'm pretty sure the rest of the pullers laugh when I start out with no smoke. I'm normally the one laughing at the other 'street twins' when I'm finished. The last run was done with the TST box on level 9 and the drag comp on 5x5 (no pump wire). No smoke is right.

Say Hi to April! Hopefully the boys liked the smoke too.

THe first run it didn't like so well. I missed the 3-4 shift because the pedal didn't disengage fully. I was having memories of burnt discs again, so i let it cool down 2 hours in between runs. The second time it was fine. Probably jsut an after effect of the first hard run on the rebuilt clutch.

Brandon--

One of your engine pics shows a few cylinders with an eerie glow. It's called a "polished block" or something.

What's that?

Can you post the link? Most likely it was cardboard used so that none of the polished grime ended up between the piston and cylinder wall.

How much boost were you running in the video. Sounds Great!
In one of my leisurely glances at the guages, I saw 45psi, 850°F. I really really really really wanted to write my name on the pavement in rubber, but couldn't find a parking lot where we wouldn't be bothered. I didn't want a reckless ops ticket since that would mean a free visit to the county jail.

Oh, I can catch ya, but it would have to be while your hooked to a sled, showing off!

I don't think you can pull that thing past enough to get away. But what would I do after I caught ya?

DARN, another plan down the drain!

Dude,
That was awesome. I do not think I have ever seen such a long burnout from a diesel. I would love to see you hooked to a sled, I am just south of Youngstown if you ever get up this way. Look me up.

My dual disc died from abuse the first time I visited the drag strip August 11th. It managed 3 good passes. On the 4th pass the RPM's went to 3500 and the wheel speed was zero... Peter tells me the pressure plate went to 1000°F and the second disc was over 1300°F the last time I built boost. I sent the clutch to Peter on Tuesday and had the rebuilt clutch in the truck the next Monday night @ 11pm (6 days including shipping).

I use the rebuilt term loosely... the housing is brand new, the clutch plates are both new, the center plate is a new design, the pressure plate is brand new, the springs are brand new and the billet flywheel was re-ground.

What, no plug for the guy that helped you make that truck that clean once on boost? You keep that pulling up and you may end up with the set of twins going on my '02 now. Thier a 'lil bigger . C'mon lets test that headgasket .
