Hankook Tires

Has anyone tried or heard anything about Hankook commercial tires? Light Truck Tires? A local Bridgestone/Firestone dealer has a great price on 225/70R19.5 traction tires. He claims absolutely zero problems with them, that they are a top quality tire, just very economical being imported from Korea. He could try to make more money off of me, selling me Bridgstone's or even some Goodyear G124's he has in stock, but he suggested I wait a week until another load of the Hankook's come in (I need seven tires, and he only had four) instead. Thought I would get your opinions. I asked around at a few other tire places, and they all had good things to say about the Hankook LT series, but told me they are pricey??? When I asked them further, they put them right between Goodyear, Yokohama, and Michelin for price and quality. I am leaning very seriously toward the Hankooks!

The only problem I've had with Hankook tires is that the model I wanted didn't come in 285/75/R16....

We ran a set of 12R 22.5 steer tires on the work truck. They did OK. No problems rain or snow or dirt. They didn't have the capacity of the original Michelins (7,000 vs. 7,390) so we went back to Michelin to keep the tires in agreement with the weight sticker. The Hankooks ran about as far as the Michelins at about 2/3 the price.

I ran Hankook T34s on my 98, and thought they were about the best tire I've ever used. They were a very aggressive mud tire, so the gravel roads beat them up a bit, but I never once got stuck with those tires on, and I went through some terrible deep snow with them. Wear was a little more than my MTRs that I replaced them with, but not significantly more.
