Talking Hahahahaha

IT'S IN!!!! It's in and it feels oh so good. I had chris at relentless install my DTT VB today and WOW, what a difference. The shifts are nice, firm, and fast. The truck shifts promptly at 2800 instead of 3200 (which is far beyond defueling). The wire is most definately getting tapped tomorrow. I don't have enough good things to say about chris. He was real helpful. Answered all of my questions, let me sit right beside him and watch, let me go for test drives to test pressures and stuff, told me what he was doing. He was great. Dang he's fast to. He had the old one removed in less than 30 minutes. It was nuts how fast he installed it. Time to stop typing and go drive some more. I've put about 100 miles on it so far and the smile still hasn't come off of my face. I can't wait to drive this truck with the wire tapped. If there is any one on the fence about doing either a shift kit or a VB, I highly recommend the VB. It did wonders for mine. Now I just gotta wait for the double deep pan to come in.

I know how you must have felt for the past couple weeks while you were waiting for the VB because I just ordered a full tranny from DTT, I feel like a little boy the night before Christmas

I assume your speaking about shifts while playing hard.
I can work all day and not see >2200 rpm!

Have fun.

Yes. I'm talking about the WOT shifts. I hated flooring my truck because it would always rev way past the defueling point and quit pulling. Now it shifts right when it starts to defuel and it never stops pulling. As soon as I get up and around I'm gonna tap the wire. I also had them install the new 2nd gear band strut and wow, what a difference. The factory dodge piece is maybe 1/8" thick where as the DTT one is almost 3/8" thick. Big difference in size. I'm kinda kicking myself right now though. I should have ordered the billet regulator and servo but oh well. I need to let my account cool off for a bit. Well, time to get ready to tap the wire.

Good to hear, blue I definatley know how you felt waiting to get it in. The wait is horrible, but when you get it in, its awesome I cant say enough good about the new converter. Only problem is that the back tires are hating me My tranny also never gets over about 2700rpm's either, which is very goos with the cummins behind them, because that is right around peak HP, and especially with my 12 valve, it falls off pretty good after about 2800 anyway. Glad all is well

This thing keeps getting better and better. I've noticed that my trans temps stay cooler even in traffic. They take a lot longer to get to 180 than they used to. This thing is an absolute animal. With the old VB, I could floor it at 40 and it would downshift, bang the rev limiter, shift up, and then pull. Now it downshifts, pulls like a raped ape, upshifts, locks up, and she's gone. I haven't even used the lock up switch since I installed it. No need to. It's great. My double deep pan should be in later this week and that should help with the trans temps even more.

And yes aaron, if you haven't changed anything, then I'm definately gonna beat ya. And you can guarantee when I do I'm gonna make a special place for you in my sig. [LAUGH] I'm gonna have to take ya for a ride. It's freaking fast. I can only imagine what 600hp feels like in these trucks.

Forgot to add that after the VB and tapped wire, my mileage seems to have gone up some. To early to tell but I'll know for sure after a couple of tanks. Now, if I could just the dang comp on 2x2 instead of 5x2.

Funny you mention that, last night I was heading into town and one of the stop lights was turning yellow, so I layed into her................sure as crap it downshifted almost banged redline, exhaust made some major racket and ended up coasting through the light..................right in front of a dang COP!!! Thank god he wasn't paying attention, cause I would have been screwed. I gotta get that VB, that downshifting is crap and is making me MAD
