Re:guage electronic sending unit

most people r using the mechanical guages because the senders are not holding up to the diesel fuel

not sure about "most people". I always recommend the tried and true mechanicals but people still buy the electrics...

Re:guage electronic sending unit

I went electric on the fuel pressure for two reasons. One being most important to me, I dont want to run fuel in the cab in case of a leak and the isolators for mechanical were not proving reliable. The other is that after much research and finally talking to Rod at Wildcat the Dakota digital FP guage uses a VDO sendor that has been very reliable for his set ups. I ran a Isspro mechanical for a short while then switch to the Dakota electric and the readings were identical.

Westach here, works great.
I mount the sender on top of the fuel filter housing.

Re:guage electronic sending unit

Trans temp guages are electric. If they make a mechanical one its probably expensive. Pyrometers are mechanical. No sender. Just the guage and thermocoupler, but if you have the Isspro EV pyro then you also have the ampifier box to put under the dash.
