Got the truck up and running again, got 18.5MPG!
Got the truck back up and running after being down 2+ weeks with a blown headgasket. Ended up buying a POS car to drive for awhile.. Truck is a daily driver..
Anyways after a few hickups and about 10 flushes of the cooling system I finally got all the oil out of the cooling system, its pretty clean now!
I cranked the SP 66 up to 44PSI (I wanted 50, but it takes a lot more turns on the wastegate I guess)
I put a set of A1 head studs in.. It was not a fun ordeal due to the fact that every valve cover required grinding, a few studs did as well.
I also got the head O-Ringed and a complete valve job as well.. Head needed a bit of milling.. I could have ran a .010 headgasket but due to availability I ran a .020 headgasket.
Truck is running very well now.. Turbo cleans up much of the fuel on the top end, and low end power is much better now.. (thats with a 100 plate and laser cut delivery valves+DDP stage 4s)
I think that when I had the truck dyno'd and put down 485HP, the headgasket was already blown, hindering my numbers, but I'm not sure...
Yesterday I drove down to Goerends again to have some adjustments done to the tranny.. We put a lockup switch in as well.
On the way home, driving between 60 & 73MPH, I got 18.5MPG. Thats with 4.10 gears and 315/75/16 tires.. A new high number for me, I'm very happy with it!
Thanks again to Travis G (TDR & DTR member) & my girlfriend Le Rae for help on the project and driving me all over creation for parts!
