Who makes a good and quiet free flowing exhaust.
I also have texas emissions that I have to comply with.

 

any good after market exhaust will be texas legal. Only the Cali boys need to worry about the CARB exempt stuff. Summit makes a 4"kit that will bolt up rather easily and the muffler doesnt kill the cummins sound just helps keep the drone down at highway speeds.

 

do diesels have cats?
These complete exhaust systems that im looking at from banks dont look like they have cats.

 

some do, but yours does not. its just a resonator and a muffler under your truck.

 

I have a 4" with strieght thru muffler, no resonator, it got lost somewhere. It is not much louder than stock and has a nice tone to it. Think the CAT was put on the 04.5 and later.

 

if you wanna save some bucks,,,just keep the short resonator in place and loose the muffler..the res in straight thru so itll flow good,and knock the drone off while towing.most muffler shops will do this for you for about 40 bucks if you dont wanna do it yourself........ive done 2 of mine this way,and they sound good and throaty.........bama
