good combo or to much?

any input would be great. I am looking at a 19000lbs goose neck race trailer you can see from my post what i have now. Would it be a bad idea to install a 3k kit, #10 plate and 4inch exhaust or would my EGTs hit the roof. I dont want to hurt my baby best truck i have ever owned.

I pull a 20,000 lb 5th wheel Toy Hauler. My sig should should have all my mods.

I run a #10 plate, 4" exhaust, 3k/GSK, 15.5 degree pump, 215 injectors in a 180 pump, PDR HX35 turbo, AFE Mega Cannon air filter assembly, gauges, KDP fix and a NV4500 conversion. I have been waiting since March for my 19.5" Rickson wheels.

Pulls the weight no problem.

You should have no problem with that weight

Ive pulled that weight and more as of late. The only thing is that if you have hills and are not all flat, and u like to drive with a heavy foot, your egts wont like you. And also from my experience, PROPER afc, plate AND GSK tightness are essential to for best towing performance for your truck...

The combo u speak of is great, u wont have to watch the pyro all the time..

Thanks! hope it helps..

I guess I failed to answer the original ?? I do totally agree with TxDiesel007.

If you haven't done so already, Improve the airflow into the engine. The K&N did not do it for me. Installing a complete new assembly did. It decreased my EGT's by almost 100 degrees and the EGT's do not climb as fast as they did before the new AFE air filter.

In my case it did not work. My filter minder, even with a new Fleetguard air filter and airbox modifications would still pull the minder down to 10 inches of vacuum. After installing the K & N, it would still pull down to about seven. After installing the AFE Mega Cannon, no more vacuum/restriction and I noticed a large drop in EGT's and when I'm accelerating hard, the EGT"s climb the gauge much slower and top out at 1100 degrees.

With the old filters, my EGT's would hit 1300-1400 degrees almost immediately.

If your filter minder is not pulling down, your intake air flow is in good shape and I would not invest/dump cash into a new system. If you are constantly seeing the minder pull down, make the improvement.
