Gauges installed!!

Hey guys...Got my Autometer Z-Series gauges installed. They are the 60psi Boost and Pyrometer mounted on the autometer a-pillar. I took the factory piller out completely and just put the autometer pillar in place and it is held tight with one screw. Lots of room to run wires.

Just wanted to say that this site rocks as I was able to make my own boost bolt from parts at NAPA ($3.00) and put it in the 3/4" plug on the side of the engine. Everything works good! 20psi boost with the Van Aaken and the pyro is mounted pre-turbo and I am getting around 1000ºF......I will post pics soon.

Sounds good. I'm anxiously awaiting pics. I'm thinking I'll be getting some Autometers to replace my Isspros pretty soon.

I have the z-series and I am in the process of replacing them with Isspros.

You will definitely want a 30psi fuel gauge. I run 10-15 psi all the time an may run more when I upgrade the fuel system.

I have an Isspro fuel gauge and like the look and lighting more so that is why I am switching...

If you are looking for the autometers and have the isspros you dont want PM me

I just got some gauges from speedhut.com. They're not any cheaper than others, but they look pretty good and are all electronic. The boost sensor looks like a very high quality part with an automotive grade connector and the pyrometer came with a high grade Omega thermocouple.

I also got an A-pillar pod from them and it's not so great in terms of fit. I'm wondering if anyone makes a higher quality one?

As for a-pillars, go with the autometer part. It is much better in the fit and finish dept and only a little more in the money dept. ( just a few dollars)

I'm using the autometer 0-100 fp guage. I had the 0-15 and with a line kit on the stock pump it was pegged most of the time.

I went with the 30 psi gauge but I don't see why a 100 psi wouldn't work either either way good choice.

They say you want a gauge to read in the middle under normal conditions for best accuracy, but the 0-100 used to sit right at 12:00

You guys also have to know that Ph4tty is running a 12v mechanical lift pump also. So higher pressures than most of us see.
