Which gauges to get, Isspro or AutoMeter?

Which gauges should I buy, Isspro or AutoMeter, or something else? For EGT, boost, and Trans temp, price is about the same for these two brands. However, I heard some of the Isspro gauges have problems. Your positive and negative thoughts please.

I don't have all Isspro guages, but the one I have, I really like it. I really blends in with the stock guages as far as style goes. You also might want to check out Hewitt Industries guages. They supply all the guages for bully dog and banks. It's the same guage just no emblem on it and alot cheaper.

Autometer seems overpriced on some things. Isspro really does blend with stock stuff well, I'm glad I bought isspros.

Thanks guys.
Yes Autometer is a bit more expensive than Isspro. But I was leaning towards Autometer because I've used them in the past with very good reliability. I've read on this forum that some Isspro boost and FP gauges were making a buzzing noise, then they would die. But I do think the Isspro gauges look cooler. By the way, my FP gauge on both my trucks is an AMI (AutoMeter Industrial) mechanical water pressure gauge that was only $10, best deal I've ever had, works like a top.

I have the autometer Ultra lites in my truck and am pretty happy with them. My EGT gauge had some issues with the needle sticking and it up and bit the dust on me, but I got a new one and it works just fine. Plus they look sweet with the brushed aluminum look to them.

Isspro gauges are too bland and boring for my taste.

Never had and issue with my Isspros. Thinking of going with the Di-Pricol Optix this time around though.

Both of my pressure gauges do that

not too often tho, but the FP one, i cannot blame, the pulsations from the pump are pretty strong, i solved that one by closing the valve practically all the way, it takes a good 15 mins for my FP to climb to 20 psi and it usually stays there, once in a while it does lower tho..

Isspro EV set.
EGT- Boost - Trans Temp - Fuel Pressure

No buzz, no isolator, no leaks in 5 years.

If I won the lottery and had to do it over again.
I'd buy Isspros again.

hey,
I've been having trouble with my isspro tranny temp 100-280 gauge, the wiring connectors and stuff doesnt seem to be holding up in the "elements". The gauge needle goes all over the place and doesnt give a proper reading, not sure but i think its mainly the wiring... Also i know on the DiProcols, they dont have any little "box" or "brain" to mount anywhere like the isspro EV electric gauges had, makes it a little more convenient, but not sure about the autometers. I think I'd go with a set of autometers if i were to do it again... Hope this helps!

Well it seems that just like any other product, there is a few lemons among all the good apples. I guess I just have to toss a coin, but I do like the green, yellow, and red ranges on the Isspros.

Have you contacted Isspro about it?
When my tranny temp gauge started "windmilling", I contacted them and received a new 'control' box', gratis.
Fixed it up perfectly.
