It should be just a wire. 22 gauge or so is sufficient. What brand of gauge are we speaking of tho? Some have two wires going to the probe and some only have one wire going to the probe.

Another question i am having trouble hooking up my boost gauge. I tried a plug on the side of the engine today and didn't get anything. Where do you all connect you sender? And with my pyro do i need to go before turbo or after turbo with the sensor.

On the BTA 12V engines, there is a 1/8 NPT plug just ahead of the elbow for the tubing going to the AFC. That plug will give you boost pressure reading. Boost bolt is for 24V applications. You don't need to tap the intake horn.
As far as the pyro, PDR instructions are good for installation.

Oh by the way, you won't see any boost at idle, you have to drive around and let the engine make power, then you'll see some boost.

I put the sender in that plug that the plans that lil dog said to do and i showed no boost. I didnt drive around but at an idle i reved it up. Is my problem that i didn't drive around? also got any ideas how to get the metal shavings out of the exahust manifold? thanks sam.

I'd drive around....
I'm not possative on the 12v, but i don't really get any measurable boost just by reving it a little.
There's a reason they call it a test drive.....just take the truck over trailridge road and it'll let you know if you've got boost!
As for the metal shavings, I'd just take the horn off and then drill....shouldn't be too hard. use some compressed air if it's off the block.

yeah i dont know if i have big enough tires to go over trailridge right now.

As for getting the shavings out, I've never done it (I had mine installed...) but maybe a slow speed drill and then a heavy duty magnet...
I'm sure others will chime in on how they did it.........

I wouldn't drill and tap a hole into the intake with it on. You gotta take it off, drill and tap, clean and then re-mount the intake.
