Man what a BUMMER,,,,,,, :'(
So how did that happen David? ,,,,,,, or do we want to know? : I think folks knew it would fly,,,,,,,,,,, I guess bringing it back down to the ground for a perfect landing needs a little work. Also glad to hear nobody was hurt.

How does a wheel standing start, a 1.35 60 ft. a 6.0 1/8 mile @ 115 then it caught air, and flipped sound? OK not really.
Jeff was playing around on the street with it. Not really sure what happened but "something" appears to have hung up the peddles. Wide open throttle and a concrete hard brake peddle resulted in leaving the pavement at around 90 MPH. Jeff actually did a great job driving. This all happened in a matter of a few seconds and the only outlet he had was not much wider then the Dakota. Jeff managed to get it through the opening and bring it to a rest on it's top.
The Dakota could achieve over 90 mph in 7 seconds in the 1/8 mile so as you can see, it didn't take too long for it all to happen. Were all just real lucky here. WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS!!! IMO This kind of power has no place on the street either. Our "blast" down the streets are over. The dyno will take over instead.
I had just added a little more power gunning for an 11 sec pass here in a few weeks at our Atlanta race. I never got it down the strip before the accident so it leaves us with it's best two backed up passes of 12.08 at 113 mph.

Sorry to hear about the truck David!!! I'm glad no one was hurt, though. I had the luxury of seeing this truck run a few times, and it was nothing short of impressive. It definitely made the perfect pocket rocket.

Glad to hear noone was hurt also! the only good thing that can come from the accident is that you will always remember to wear your seatbelt from now on, if you didnt already do it before. i was in a head on collision a few years ago when some dumb blonde 17 year old, in her new acura that her parents bought for her 7 days earlier, crossed over into my lane. i unfortunately had nowhere to go and not enough time to react. total impact speeds were estimated around 100-110 mph. and luckily i had my seatbelt on. i cracked my sternum and broke 2 ribs, not to mention the large bruise from the seatbelt, but i would not be here today if i didnt have it on. now i feel naked if i dont have it on. i cant say it enough PLEASE EVERYONE WEAR YOUR SEATBELT ALL THE TIME!!! anyway, sucks that your truck is wrecked, but at least it can always be replaced.
